THE HEDGES PLANTATION

The Hedges Plantation is a 600 acre tract of land just south of the city limits of Natchez, Mississippi on Highway 61 South (primary link to Baton Rouge, LA). Over 400 acres has recently been annexed into the City Limits of Natchez MS and all proposed divisions of this portion are subject to the approval of the Natchez Planning and Zoning Commission. The Hedges Plantation Development Company LLC has sub-divided this property creating commercial, retail, multi family and single family areas. This property has over two miles of frontage on four lane Hwy 61 South. The tracts with frontage on Highway 61 South are designated for commercial use while the tracts to the interior of the property will be sold and/or developed for single family and multifamily residential development.  The development company plans to develop several of the larger tracts for mixed use developments containing commercial retail areas, multifamily locations, office complexes, etc.

The residential growth south of town in developments such as Beau Pre’ Country Club, Elgin Plantation, Southfork Estates, etc. has spurred-on increased commercial growth in this area.
